AUTOANTIBODY DETECTION

Protein immunoprecipitation can be coupled to mass-spectrometry for autoantigen discovery and characterisation.

Using this approach our group have been able to characterise several disease specific autoantibodies in patients with idiopathic inflammatory myopathies and systemic sclerosis including anti-SAE, anti-Zo, anti-eIF2b and anti-eIF3.
